Just installed the new 4.2 firmware today in my D-100 and HS-34. A quick ground test showed that the two bearing pointers are still locked together, instead of pointing to two different selected sources. Was this supposed to be fixed in 4.2 or has it been more difficult than you had thought?

4.2 was a fix for a very specific issue, and did not include fixes for anything else.

The fix for this will be in 5.0, which will come out when the AP begins shipping.

In what configuration of nav sources does this happen? Does it do this with the SL30 over serial with one pointer on the active and one on the standby?

It sure would be nice to see a listing somewhere of "Dynon Acknowledged" bugs and what the current status is of each so that us that are in the purchasing mode will be aware of them.

The last thing I want is to install my new panel and turn it on and find that half of the features I really want are disabled by bugs like this one. If I knew ahead of time what to expect and what the action plan is from Dynon, I would be OK with it till the fix was out.

This happens only with an SL30, where the standby bearing pointer does not report correctly. The primary NAV works fine.

Yea but having a second RMI pointer when used in conjunction with the SL30's monitor feature is one of the great selling features of this box.

Hopefully you have this ironed out in 5.0!
