HSI deviation indicator

I have an EFIS 100 connected to both a 496 and SL30. All HSI indicators work well except the deviation needle always points North no matter which HSI screen I'm using. It shows deviation, but points at north rather than the true heading or course. This leads me to believe it is in the Efis rather than the 496 or Sl30

Any suggestions?

Well, as far as we know, the 496 works fine. We have lots of people using those just fine.

What you probably need to do is go into the setup menu and change the serial speed from "Fast" to "normal" (or some wording like that). This will fix the problem.
