In case anyone is curious, I have installed a roll servo in a Cessna 206. I put the capstan based SV42 in it and it has plenty of torque to handle the fairly heavy controls of a 206. As long as you have the rudder trim set correctly it handles the airplane fine too.

This airplane is not in the US and there has been no attempt to get a field approval.

There are moves albeit slow ones from CASA to allow people to install the Dynon A/P in certified VFR ONLY aircraft.

They allow the Dynon EFIS and EMS in certified IFR aircraft here now for back up EFIS and for EMS so long as the certified (and unreliable) instruments remain.

So its a good step forward.

I do not think Dynon would ever want them fitted to certified IFR or Charter RPT....... what a nightmare!!!

Mind you the TSO'd Aspen units are OK for that..... so long as you do not mind the EFIS going spaz on you when in IMC...... which they are doing reliably in Melbourne Australia! ...... yes again and only the other day...in cloud!
