I installed all three of these components, intercom, radio panel and transceiver, and attached to the skyview network using the SV cables. Last night I tested with good results however had not finished securing the bundles. I did notice one odd thing which was a NOSV on the Radio Panel and assumed something was wrong and decided to work on that in the morning. This morning I went into the SV network settings and did not see the Radio Panel listed and so I did a network detect and it found the Panel and showed it highlighted yellow, great! I then unknowingly must have clicked a configure or update and it did a bunch of updates although I had not provided any new firmware. It continued for a couple minutes and then rebooted... After reboot the Panel was blank. I didn't spend much time on troubleshooting but instead finished securing the wire bundles and the final items of the install. When I turned on the avionics bus with headphones, I was surprised at a loud squeal and the panel was still blank. At this point I'm not sure what I did wrong, would a SV firmware upgrade be needed or is this more likely a ground loop? The odd thing was the blank panel after doing a network upgrade. Does any of this seem familiar, the radio panel is new, the rest of the components are classic skyview; screen, ADHRS, EMS.

Thanks for any ideas here,
Ryan

If you have power and ground to the units (both the remote transceiver and the control head, then you will get something on the radio screen regardless of network connections.

Sounds like you did a force network load, which just reloads the software for each unit from the Skyview. Even if this somehow went wrong, your radio panel should not be blank. All the connectors secure? Circuit breaker in?

Thank you GKC,
This morning I'll check all the grounds again and install the latest software update with release: SkyView Classic/Touch/SE 16.7.6

The problem ended up being the mic and phone jacks and not enough shrink wrap near the base and there was contact, in the end a self induced ground issue.
