I flew for about 1 hour yesterday but noticed this flaw on past flights as well. If I were flying and hit direct-to on the skyview, and the airport was not directly in front of me, the displayed track would appear approx.. 1 mile off (to the left or right) of my actual track. if I hit direct-to and the airport was in front of me, the track would start at my present location. I have the latest software installed. Any suggestions on how to fix? :-?

It's not an interesting feature. It's an awesome feature ;)

From the January 2015 change log:

Improved: When starting navigation via the "direct-to" feature, SkyView now anticipates
the initial turn (if ones is required) and starts navigating from the end of that initial turn.
This eliminates s-turning after the initial turn towards the "direct-to" destination.

Since you're not pointed towards your target, it assumes you will make a two minute turn onto your course. If it started from where you are right now, you'd have to S-turn onto the course.

It only does this with a Direct-to, not any point to point courses.
