Intermittent SV-GPS 2020

My dual screen classic system has operated reliably for years but recently it boots with a 'GPS Lost' and a red X across the map intermittently. I can boot five minutes later without problems. If I check the GPS Fix Status when the fault happens, it will show that there are no satellite signals and the Rx counter is zero. My system is configured with the SVS-GPS-2020 at Port 4 Pos 1, and a Generic at Port 5 Pos 2.
Also, why doesn't the system default to the GPS in Pos 2 if there's no signal from Pos 1? The generic GPS in Pos 2 always has signal.

Antenna system would be my first suspect. They're commonly a problem, and they tend to get more problematic with age.

There was recent discussion on this, a simple search would have found more info for you.
The greatest pain, IMO, is some people ask for a resolution of their issues however don’t give feedback which could or would be of tremendous help to others.

I replaced the SV-GPS-2020. So far, the problem has been resolved.
