Internal battery present or not DEk-180

I have a DEK-180 which I purchased a few years back. I am just completing my electrical work and I note that pin 2 on the EFIS DB25 connector (yellow- Keep Alive Power) is to be connected when there is no internal battery or the EFIS is not connected to a GPS. The specs for my unit don't mention whether it has an internal battery or not and I haven't powered the unit up yet. Is there some way I can determine if my unit is fitted with an internal battery?

We owe the D180 and other manuals an update on this point, but we generally don't recommend that you connect keep-alive on your FlightDEK-D180. See this service bulletin for details.

To check if you have the battery installed, take a peek under the small rectangular door (it has two screws) on the right side of the D180. The installation guide also has the full documentation on battery installation
