IO-540 Tach Setup

Please help!!!

I have an IO-540 (6Cyl)with Bendix S6LN magnetos. I have connected the Dynon 180 to the mags as discribed with the resistors supplyed.

1. What pulse/rev setting do I need? (dont get it what the manual says :'( )

2. Are the resistors enough?

3. Can I test it without runing the engine? when I try to test it by cranking the RPM shows 9999

1) You probably need 3 pulses per rev, but you might need 1.5.

2) Don't know what you mean by "enough." Enough for what?

3) No, the engine needs to be running normally to test.
