Back on this project this week. Does Dynon support have a complete list of available of configuration settings ? I am just about ready to button this panel up and move to the airplane. I have it running on the bench but the install manual has this info spread out all over and a comprehensive list would come in handy. I want to check what I can as completely as I can prior to bolting everything in at the end of the week and then begin the process of finishing things up and calibrating tanks before pulling it out of the hangar and making airplane noises. Does anyone have this or even a check list?
Thanks!
Bob

Ok, I’ll bite ;)

IMO the answer is NO, & there probably never will be as there are too many possible combinations that would result in a huge number of pages added to the install manual - surely we don’t want that. Sometimes we have to work this out ourselves or phone a friend.
Be careful what you wish for as the current Install Manual has 604 pages - enough already !

I think he's looking for one of those hierarchal matrices or maps that lists all the menu items in the systems, not all the possible ways to set them. To my knowledge, none exists.

OK. Thanks for the advice. A lot of times its simpler and faster to look at a list the what variables the software and hardware designers had settled on back in design engineering. A menu flow is really helpful when compared with a schematic. Many times I have caught settings that I overlooked either by haste or simply chose the wrong ones because there were variables between makes or types of sensors because the designers wanted one thing and because of price or availability, they added another. Machine tools and electrical controllers are notorious for this. But the best thing I used these for is a checklist. You go through each one to make sure its setting matches what it should do, what an input should look like, using the sensor it should have and when you get to the bottom your first functional test is going to be pretty good. Right now I believe I am good after a little tweaking on the bench and the physical part of the panel is going in early next week. Its meant to be modular and relatively easy to remove to work on but I consider that rework and something I really want to reduce as much as possible. EMS is next and trying to get sensor plumbing to work on a 71 year old machine.

Just make sure your wiring is correct. Programing all the variables is actually fairly easy and if you make any mistakes you can fix them quickly. The wiring is harder to fix. It is helpful to have a list of all the engine limitations and airspeed limitations before you start. The EMS display (100%, 50% and bottom band) can be modified extensively to your personal preferences. I don’t display everything possible. I just display the things that are important to me. I have modified the 100% EMS display more than a dozen time to make it work better for me.
