Hi there,

We are flying a SAMBA XL just fitted with a Dynon 10 I think??

We wish to make some adjustments and need help.

Specifically - Turn on the VSI, Increase test size if possible and find the slip indicator ball in flight.

Hi there Rob , I am based in South Africa and have purchaced a Samba XL but purchaced the Dynon D100 at Oshkosh. If your screen is not 7" diagnal then you do have the D10. Even on the bigger D100 the VSI is small and I have asked Dynon to consider making the Info displays ( specifically VSI ) in the same font and background as the Altitude and ASI numbers . This would be great as I often use the VSI for approach decent at 500ft / min. I have had no response from Dynon but believe that this is not a major software upgrade and could be done real quickly . This should not bug existing users as they can turn the info screens off.

Hi Rob,

You can find documentation for the EFIS-D10 at:

To turn on the VSI, enter the menu system on the EFIS by pressing any button. Then press MORE, then INFO, then either LEFT or RIGHT depending on the side of the screen you'd like to see the VSI on, then VSI. This is the same method for toggling on and off the g-meter, VSI, OAT, and voltmeter.

As for showing the slip indicator, enter the menu system, press MORE, then SETUP, then CLUTTR, then MORE, then BALL. This will toggle the slip indicator ball on and off.
