I realize I can change the k-factor in my D-180, my question is could I disconnect the fuel line at the fuel servo and run the fuel pump for one minute and measure the quanity and then change the k-factor to a higher or lower number in order to more accuately display the correct fuel flow?
Thanks,
Don Short

Do you have a red cube or a bronze colored sensor?

Red is 60,000 default.

Bronze is 30,000 default.

Start there, and fly 25-100 gallons through the plane. Keep track of what the gas pump says. There's a formula in the install manual to take your actual usage and adjust to make it more accurate.

These things pulse 30-60 thousand times per gallon. You'll never get an accurate read on just a few gallons into a bucket, and a system running in the non-fully installed state won't act 100% identical anyway.
