Kavlico Oil Pressure Sensor reading jumps around

I installed the Kavlico Oil Pressure Sensor with my D120 and oil pressure typically varies +/-5 psi on my Rotax 912ULS although it has jumped up to 82 a time or two (from low 60s).  It is mounted on the engine and all other readings are fine and steady.  Does appear to be a connection issue.  Thoughts?

Mounting directly to the engine could be part of it. It may not be the smoking gun (could be an electrical connectivity issue, for example), but it's definitely something that isn't an ideal in any sensor install.

Unfortunately, my LSA manufacturer does not favor remote install of the sensors so I'm kind of stuck on location. Connections appear good from buzzing them out. Thanks for the reply.

Hi Paul,

We have been having the discussion on another forum. There should be no reason and no LOA needed to just move the oil pressure sender. You are not changing equipment or its intended function and your manuals say to follow the Rotax  recommendations. Many are moving them. There is no reg in place to not allow this. We have been finding out through the FAA that due to info in the manuals and lack of at times that some LSA Mfg's don't have as much regulation over certain aspects as they thought they did.
