keypad on EMS-D10 defect

Oh well, running over 240 hrs now on the EMS and suddenly I could no longer acknowledge any alarm nor use the menu. Part of that can be done via the DSAB network however I can no longer use the fuel menu anymore which is a pitty.

Is there any test I can do or is there a plug which could have come loose? Sitting in Europe it is always a major task to send units for repair (remember my last D10A odyssey with NY customs?).

Would appreciate a hint what can be done by a professional to check the unit.

Thanks a lot

Hi Werner,

Try applying some firm pressure to the buttons on the unit to see if that improves things. If not, unfortunately, we'll need to take a look at your unit at our offices in the US.

Ok, I have to bite the dust here, button on EMS is not working anymore and I can do most of it via the D10A and DSAB but I want to have a full functional unit. After my horror story (and expensive lesson learned) last time I will bring the unit in the US and send it from Florida. Can you please assign a RMA number to it, I will be November 7th arriving in the US, as shipping and turnaround needs some time you have to send it back to my home address in Switzerland (stating it as repair otherwise I pay tax again).

Are you investigating in a European Service Station in the near future?
