I currently have a dual SkyView system in my RV-10. I am building a KitFox with a Rotec R2800 7-cylinder radial engine and i am considering another SkyView system.
My questions are:
- is there a good place to mount the ADHARS in a steel framed KitFox?
- do you have probes that will work on a Rotec R2800?
- can I display 7 EGT and 7 CHT temps? I know it is set up for 4 or 6 cylinders.
- any other issues i might have that i've missed?

Anyone else running a SkyView and Rotec Radial combination?
Thanks

In addition to the 12 thermocouple inputs on the 25 pin connector on the SV-EMS-221, there's also two more that are available on the 37 pin connector. So you can monitor all 14 of those temps.

As for the probes: we don't have an official recommendation, but here's an "unofficial" list that our technical support staff has compiled, but which HAS NOT BEEN VERIFIED. Make sure you check the suitability of each of these sensors yourself.

EGT – K-type (not sure of the diameter of the exhaust pipe)
CHT – J-type (12mm ring terminal) P/N 100578-000
MAP – P/N 100434-000
Oil Pressure – - Kavlico 150 psi 1/8-27 NPT, P/N 101693-000
Oil Temp – 100409-000 (50-150C)
Fuel Pressure – Kavlico 15 psi 1/8-27 NPT, P/N 101690-000
Shunt – P/N100412-000
Fuel Flow –.100403-003
RPM – Negative side of the electronic coil. So when you do a mag check you lose the reading when this coil is switched off. When flying if you see that tachometer stop working you know you have lost the Hall electronic system and are now flying on the magneto alone.

The rotec electronic module has a dedicated tach output wire. No need to wire as described above.
