KLN-90B Installation

Homework to start install is going well. Question came up regarding encoder data needing to be sent to KLN 90B in order to satisfy IFR cert for altimeter data. Looks like KLN will accept grey scale data from encoder. How do I bring this over from SV-XPNDR- 261? I’m running one Skyview touch screen and GPS-2020 antenna.

Will a KLN90B satisfy IFR these days? I would be installing a TSO 146 GPS. Nothing less.

There is no grey scale from Skyview.

Yes, the serial to gray code converter is still available. It was originally designed for our D10/D100 series, but it will also work with SkyView using one of the display's serial outputs.

About to install the KLN-90B as well. The GPS has an option for air data 429 inputs (alt, a/s, TAT, OAT) through separate pins from the EFIS inputs. Will the SV-ARINC-429 output that information (using the second set of RX/TX lines)?

Another version of this question is: will the SV-ARINC-429 output octals (labels) 203-205, 210, 211, and 213? If so, I can run the second set of RX/TX lines to the air data input in the KLN.
