I know this is a support forum, but I just had to throw out this note of appreciation to the Dynon data logging system. I have never had an issue with downloading data from my D-180. I now know two people with Brand X and Y EFIS/EMS units who lost critical first flight data because, for some reason, nothing was there to look at. Now it was most likely operator error in the way they set up the data logging options, but the system should be smarter than us and still have data to view. One of these guys is even a computer programmer by trade. Apparently his USB stick had some incompatability with his unit and when he pushed "stop" to end the recording transfer session, nothing was there and the units internal memory was wiped clean.
