Learning Screens

This was probably asked before but could not find it... Is there any reason to not power up the D100 (or D120 for that matter) without cables/probes attached in order to learn the screens etc.? Of course I realize nothing will work in this situation. Thanks

That's fine. On the D100 if you have the battery you can just press the left button to turn it on (then hold to turn off). The D100 will pretty much work as normal in your hand like this.

If you don't have a D100 or on a D120, you will need to give it 10-30V to power it up.

Shoot, I "flew" my D10 around the hangar for couple of weeks(on internal battery power)before I finally installed it in my RV. This when it first came out 3 yrs or so ago, and I had to build the wiring harness from scratch. (first I had to figure out how to build it.)
