LNAV Approaches?

Can you fly a simple LNAV GPS approach with SkyView (equipped with the SkyView GPS received) when you don't have an approach certified GPS in the plane? IE-will the HSI CDI sensitivity change as you approach the airport?

No, only certified GPS units communicate the scaling change.

Is there a way to set it manually?

We did allow it to be set manually in the older products, but this never seemed to get used, so we've never put it in SkyView.

Just as a note, in our understanding, flying this approach in the USA would not be legal without a certified GPS on board. But we're not regulatory experts.
