Hi,

To resolve an adhrs cross compare issue, per my conversation with Dynon support, I downloaded the User_Config file from my Skyview system and edited two lines to new values using a text editor.

The changes are: adahrs_xchk_tc_thres=0.5 change to 2.0, adahrs_xchk_tr_thres=0.5 change to 2.0.

When I reloaded the edited file, I received a screen message that 17 lines were invalid settings, and 12 were other non-importable settings lines.

It would be nice to know what lines caused the issues. Is there a way to sort that out?

Thanks,

Dennis

What did you use for a text editor? When I was in IT, it was a very common problem for some text editors to add characters to files that they shouldn't add. Using a word processor is a big no-no because they definitely add characters. We saw that a lot too. See if you can do a side by side comparison of the files. Since you only changed existing characters and did not add or subtract anything, they should be the exact same file size and have the exact same character count. But also be aware that some methods of viewing file size will sometimes round numbers up or down, so you may not get an accurate count. Google "determine exact file size" to find ways to insure you get the correct count. Beyond that, I don't think I could offer any other helpful suggestions.

That is normal, there is lots of things in the config file that are not importable. Should be no problem as the important parts do get imported.

Out of curiosity, how do you recognize actual problems if it's 'normal' to receive multiple errors. Wouldn't that potentially mask a real issue?

I used Notepad. For casual text edits, i have never experienced any issues. Word processors and spreadsheets do all kinds of conversions to “improve” data. I did a file comparison after the fact and only saw the changes I made.

I too would be comforted by a list of the offending values. Just in case it is important. Seemed to work fine in the test flight but I don’t know what I don’t know.

thanks
