Has anyone had an issue where the settings i.e. hex code for the transponder changed and serial connection to the garmin 530 lost after the software upgrade. Yesterday i did the upgrade and the hex code for the transponder has defaulted to 1000000000 and not the original one set up. and the serial port one connection to the Garmin 530 was also needing to be re activated. Thanks Jake for your valuable assistance as i did get it communicating again. The transponder is working but It will need the original code reentered before air services send a rude letter. Did I mis something in the update notes??

Cheers Hugh

Hugh,
The upgrade should not have changed your settings. Do you have a single screen or a dual screen system? What version were you coming from?

Not sure how the transponder could default to HEX "1000000000" since there are only 6 digits allowed. Note that if it is "000000" then the transponder knows this is a bad code and won't come out of standby. So that will be a different letter from air services than you expect ;)
