Hi all - I was on short final when the airspeed indication on my D180 failed. The GPS assist worked as advertised.
Once on the ground, a small amount of pitot pressure was applied. The stby indicator worked but the D180 did not. They both share a common pitot line, removing the line from the D180 I felt pitot pressure through it.
Any ideas??

Airspeed is pitot vs. static, so there is a small chance that your static is the thing with the issue. Is your altitude right?

An easy airspeed test is to just press your finger against the fitting on the back of the D180. If you seal your finger and press hard, you can usually get 150-200 knots just from the pressure of your finger on the port. If this works, it's something in the pressure system.

If all the other tests fail, it is likely a broken sensor in the D180 somehow, and we will need to look at it here. Please contact us to get an RMA # if it comes to that.
