Manifold Pressure box: which side of firewall?

I'd like to mount the Manifold Pressure black-box gizmotron on the engine side of the firewall, is that allowed? If not, and if the reason is it's heat sensitive, would a blast tube on it help?

I put it on the firewall FWF side up high on my RV-8. I believe the manual says it can go either location. It looks to be a very robust part.

Same here. Top of the firewall on the engine side. Survived the last couple of hundred hours no problem.

Those sensors have been living under the hood of millions of GM cars for years. Mine is mounted to the firewall.
