:-? I'm installing the EMS sensors for my Skyview system and just got to the MP sensor.  Is it okay to install it on the engine side of the firewall?  I don't see anything in the latest version of the Installation Manual that precludes that.  The material it's made of just doesn't seem like something you'd mount in the engine compartment.

I usually mount them on engine side of firewall - these were made for the auto industry & meant to be mounted there, don't forget to mount it higher than the cylinder you're using for map sensing.

Thanks Jake.  That will work well.  I have to "T" it to my electronic ignition MAP sensor, too, and it's on the firewall.

What type of electronic ignition do you have? Many are not supposed to be mounted in the engine compartment.

I have both MAP sensor and EE inside the firewall.

Don't forget to place some kind of restrictor in the MAP sensor air line. If you don't, you will get a highly fluctuating MAP reading.

I bought the P-Mags and support told me that the best place to get MAP is from the line to the existing MAP sensor. I plan to T in once for each P-Mag. The E-Mag/P-Mag are self contained so there are no separate control units to mount. It's all in the engine compartment although they neeed to be cooled like MAGs.

I also have a 1/4" line from the #2 cyl primer mount directly to the Dynon MAP sensor mounted on the firewall with no restrictions and have no fluctuation problems. I can see that if the line could hold fluid in a low spot it could cause fluctuations.
