Manifold pressure sensor mounting

The MAP sensor seems to be made of some sort of plastic. Should I mount this forward or behind the firewall?

I have the MAP sensor mounted on the upper right side of the firewall of my RV-8. No issues so far in 1486 Hobbs Hours. It's circled in Yellow in this photo:
