Another of my 'I'm sure there's a good reason why...?' questions.

When in the Map Panning Mode, the map centers on the Map Pointer.

If you click out of the Map Panning Mode it returns to being centered on the aircraft.

If you then go back into the Map Panning Mode, the Map Pointer goes back to the last position it was at rather than the aircraft's present position.

Is there a reason why it doesn't re-center on the aircraft's new position?

I would find it useful when, for instance, changing airspace regions and checking airspace altitude restrictions for the Map Pointer to follow the aircraft's position each time it is selected.

Standing by to be told that you can make it do it.... And if you can't, perhaps a thought for a future update?

You can make it do it!

If you click the center of the knob, it toggles between the current aircraft location and the last pointer.

If you are on the current aircraft location, and just move the joystick to a side (don't click first) it always starts moving from where you are now. In fact in general, most people do not click to get into panning mode, they just move the joystick because generally you want to move from where you are now.

So you can do either.

Ah, that would do it. Now why didn't I think of that....? :-[

Thanks for the quick response - and I'd still like the option to have the Map button the left hand joystick.... ;)
