We hope to have world databases someday, but we don't know when this will be. It will most likely not not be on the day the product first ships, but hopefully it's not "years off" either.

Will the next generation Dynon be able to use raster maps as well as vector?

Hi,

On the roadmap page http://www.dynonavionics.com/docs/news_technology_preview.html it says this: "Raster Charts (Sectionals, WAC, Enroute, Terminal, Taxi)"

Does this mean that you have changed plans (excellent) or that I've misunderstood what you are listing in the Roadmap?

Thanks,
Mickey

Some of the very future mapping features should probably be listed in a non-existent "maybe" column on that chart. The reality is that we'll develop mapping features and capabilities that we think customer will appreciate, use, and find value in. Some of the nitty-gritty of what those entail are still up in the air. We try not put anything on that list that we're not really sure about, but that's admittedly one feature that's behind a lot of others, though not out of the question.
