I have the 4.0 SV software and data. Was flying through the SFRA in Wash DC the other day and found that the FRZ (Flight Restricted Zone) is NOT shown on the map.

It would be VERY helpful to avoid SAM missle sites and the black hawk helicopter formation flight if that was to be shown on the map. ;D

The SFRA shows up as yellow ticks... I'll check again for the FRZ. However, shouldn't the FRZ show up as a Restricted zone since (except under extreme circumstances) you are NOT going to get permission to enter?

The issue is that a "SFRA" or an "FRZ" are not ICAO understood airspace types. For this reason, in the data we get from the FAA, which is in the international ARINC-424 format, both the SFRA and FRZ are listed with a restricted airspace type of U: "Unspecified or Unknown". Given no obvious "correct" way to display an unknown airspace type we chose the yellow ticks.

It appears Jeppesen doesn't even include the SFRA or FRZ in their data.

If you can get the FAA to change the designation in their data to "restricted" or "prohibited" then we'll show it like you want. Good luck with that! ;)

Wondering if I fly into the FRZ and when the FAA/BP/FBI come to talk I'll ask them to change the designation, that will help....hmmmm...nevermind.
