mounting at an angle?

Because of other things in the way, my Dynon D-10A is going to be mounted in my RV-7A (tipup) panel about 3 1/2" to the RT of center. I thought I might improve the viewing angle to the Dynon by canting it so it points more toward the pilot. However, this seems to conflict with the instruction manual that calls for it to be mounted on the longitudinal axis. I do have the remote compass, if that makes any difference. Can this unit be mounted at an angle at all? I know it will allow some 30 degrees of vertical tip, but I wonder if any longitudinal deviation can be calibrated out. If so, is there a limit to how many degrees I can point it toward the pilot?

Indeed, you can not mount the EFIS canted towards the pilot on any axis other than pitch. If you did, all of the instrumentation that is based on the AHRS platform would suffer, including the horizon, ball, turn rate, G meter, and potentially magnetic heading to a small degree.
