I noticed the Skyview update mentions compatibility with NavWorx. Does this mean that I can buy their box and it'll display on my Skyview screen?

This from an Alaskan who cannot get weather onboard.

Right now SkyView can display traffic from NavWorx, not weather. Weather will come in the future.

Will the Weather ADS-B In component from a navworx reciever be a software or hardware future development?
It would be a convenient time for me to buy a navworx box to install now. Is it possible to install a navworx box now and then have a future software enable the weather functions?
How will the user access the ADS-B in weather? Will it be one of the info tabs when you select an airport in the database?
Will the ADS-B in weather and traffic be transmitted via serial or AINC 429?
Will Dynon produce an ADS-B in device in the next 12-18 months? If so i would rather buy yours, if not then I'll press ahead with another alternative.
Cheers
Nigel

In order:

Software. We plan on supporting any device which outputs the GDL-90 protocol, which the FAA made a public standard for ADS-B. The NavWorx devices do support this.

Yes.

TBD. We promise it will be a delight to use*

Serial for sure. ARINC-429 too soon to tell. The ADS-B device landscape is likely to change a lot over the next couple of years.

We don't comment on future Dynon products until we start commenting on them :). Please, DO NOT infer that as a confirmation or denial of anything. There's literally no information in that statement.

*...assuming you like the way we do things :)
