Network Bypass Adapter Question

Apologies if this has been asked and answered, I couldn't find an answer searching the forums. I have a dual SV-D1000 setup and I'm sending in one of the panels back to Dynon due to an issue with it. I'd like to keep on flying with the other one, and it seems the I can do this as long as I connect together the two DB9 plugs that were attached to the panel that I removed?

My question is can I do this with a bulk standard DB9 male-male adapter? I can see some (non Dynon) websites selling "Dynon DB9 Male - Male Adapter (Network Bypass Adapter)" but I couldn't work out if these we something special or not (they didn't seem to be branded). They also seemed really expensive compared to what I can pick up at my local electronics store.

I am guessing that you need to connect the skyview network cables back together. Standard DB 9 should work.

I suppose L-Com is a good brand. You can google "ebay L-Com DGB9M DB9 D-Sub 9 pin Male to Male connector/Adapter Gender Changer" and it comes up with https://www.ebay.com/itm/363276167468 $6 for one and $9 for two.
