New EfIS - HS34 & AP74/76

Will the HS34 and the AP74/76 be needed with the new EFIS?  If not would they make control of the HSI and AP more convenient with less button pushes required?  Or just not needed at all?  My panel space is limited and I am now in the midst of a new panel design and am planning ahead.  Thanks

Our plan is that the HS34 and AP74 will not be needed. There's enough buttons and knobs to do all of those functions pretty easily. Of course, the AP74 isn't required today either. A HS34-like box will be required for ARINC-429, but it will be a behind the panel box.

We honestly don't know if we'll do an AP76 device for the next system, or if we can efficiently pack the UI within the product.

Whatever we do, it won't be the current HS34 / AP74 / AP76 units that would be used in the next system.
