New Installation question

So I'm doing some planning for a RV8 installation.

Here's what I'm thinking thus far, and then the question.

1 Skyview 10" display
EMS
1 AHRS
Transponder
ADSB
Future - add 2 servos

So for now I just need 2 network ports with a short cable run to the EMS and a long one to the AHRS in the rear fuselage.

However thinking ahead to adding servos for AP later, I was thinking about putting a HUB under the seat near the wing spar. Then I could run 1 cable from display to hub, 1 cable out the wing to the roll servo, 1 cable to the pitch servo, and a cable to the AHRS. If I run the servo cables now, is there a way to have them hooked up to the hub, but not attached to the missing servos yet? or do I need to keep them unhooked until used?

While I really like the simple install with just 2 cables, it seems like it's worth putting in some extra connections now to make it easier for the upgrade later.

Any other thoughts on this setup?

Thanks!

You need to run an OAT sensor back to the ADAHRS. A good place for the ADSB receiver is behind the back bulkhead and it needs a power, ground, and 2 serial wires to the D1000. And why not get the radio? Heres another thought for you. The RV12 and now the RV 14 comes with a magic junction box (AV1000) that makes all of this as plug-play for a Dynon.

Sounds like you are planning the same set up I just installed in the 8 that I'm building. Skyview 10" , EMS behind the panel, AHARS installed in AFT Fuselage. FWD of that near the elevator bell crank is the Remote Transponder, ADSB Box and SV-Network Hub.  I would definitely run you're wires for the autopilot servos and install a Network Hub. You can always just secure/stow them but at least they will be there if needed.
I could post/send you some pictures if you are interested of what I did.

And why not get the radio?

I like the looks of the new radio, however I really want AutoVox for the intercom… So I'm going with the new GTR200.

In my last RV the intercom squelch was a primary flight control. Pull on the runway, turn it up, level in cruise, turn it down, always messing with the intercom. Seems like software should be able to fix this by now.

Here you go.

Skyview 10" with a D6.

I installed the following by the elevator bell crank.
SV-NET HUB.
SV-XPNDR.
SV-ADSB.
ELT.
The SV-HUB has one connection going up to the Skyview, One goes to the elevator autopilot servo, one to the aileron autopilot servo and the last one to the AHARS unit that is located AFT on a shelf.

I mounted the EMS and the backup battery behind the instrument panel.

Here is a shot of the shelf the AHARS unit is mounted on.
