I have received factory built pipistrel virus with dynon skyviews with 912 iS engine. The fuel pressure indicated is higher then the manual states it should be.

Before I did fuel sensor software update fuel pressure was:

Main pump - 45.2psi
main with aux pump - 47.2

After doing software update today slightly improved numbers:

main pump - 44.8
main with aux pump 46.8

These numbers are still higher then manual states it should be and is red lining on instrument display. Airplane/engine brand new.

Any suggestions?

From the Rotax 912iS installation manual:

An increase of fuel pressure over the allowed limit means that the fine filter is becoming contaminated. The fine filter should be checked and replaced if necessary.

So it looks like the redline should be 46.5. Is that the number you have for your redline for your operations?

The Kavlico sensors are very accurate, but with the 912 iS, SkyView also depends on the manifold pressure that is provided by the Rotax ECU and the barometric pressure (static) that SkyView's ADAHRS provides. Does both altitude and manifold pressure seem to be accurate?

It's also VERY possible that the fuel pressure, for some reason, actually is slightly higher on your engine.

I have yet to fly the airplane so I can't say if manifold or altitude seem accurate...Waiting for my C of A. Maybe you are right that this airplane setup has higher pressure, another new pipistrel owner in canada also just received his plane from the factory with higher then normal pressure readings, he changed his main micron filter after noticing this but it didn't change the red lining pressure readings. I've been told that temperature of the fuel will affect fuel pressure, as we are in a cold climate right now maybe that is another factor in this. I will check red line perimeters, but I am getting higher then 46.5psi so makes sense it is in the red (only when both fuel pumps are on).
