One of the things that attracted me to the existing Dynon product line is that Dynon has its own dedicated RTOS-like software stack. Some other vendors use commercial OSes like WinCE which makes be a bit uncomfortable. What is general architecture of the new software platform?

Regardless, I think is much more aesthetically pleasing that some of the competitive offerings.

Thanks,

The new system will run a stabilized, minimal Linux kernel for the display.

The remote boxes like the AHRS, EMS, servos, etc still run with no OS, and the screen is managed by a no-OS micro.

Does this mean you may follow the road taken by one of your competitors and open up some of the APIs for the adventurous to add plug-ins?
