No electric trim for A36 Bonanza,

I am having HEX system installed in my A36 Bonanza right now. I was informed yesterday that I will not be able to have electric trim as I had with KFC 200 autopilot. To say the least I’m disappointed and a little pissed. This was never mentioned prior to the install.
i do not want to give up my electric trim.
any suggestions?

You may be able to keep the electric trim portion of your previous autopilot. Mine wasn’t a KFC200 but I did. (Don’t confuse electric trim with ‘auto-trim’). PM me for more details.

I retained an STEC electric trim system in a C210 HDX installation I did.
Required some relays, but works really well as electric/auto trim

Why are they saying you can't keep your existing trim, and who is saying it?

According to my avionics guy, it’s the KFC

he told me that King used some type of unique waveform to drive the servo computer, he was hoping to be able to work around it but with no success.
