While checking my D180 readings on the ground while in the hangar, I noticed my fuel pressure reading 99.9. I wasn't able to correct the problem, and it continued to read 99.9 during my next flight. I replaced my older sensor with a new Kavlico 15PSI sensor P/N 101690-000. After installation and setting type to 6, my new sensor shows zero PSI, rather than the 1.2 PSI stated in the documentation. I haven't flown yet, but I expect it to continue showing zero PSI. My wiring appears ok (Red to 5V excitation, Green to EMS pin 8 brown, and Black to ground). The only thing difficult to do is getting to the back of my D180 and making sure the brown pin 8 is OK at the connector itself. Does anyone have any suggestions as to what else I could check or verify ???? Thanks, Jim

The sensor also has a connector, so you might check that it's seated correctly - check the pins in that connector. Otherwise it sounds like the sensor may have failed (though the usual symptom of a failed sensor is 0 PSI).

We recently revised the Kavlico sensor installation instructions for EMS-D10, EMS-D120, FlightDEK-D180 to state that the unit MAY display 1.2 PSI with no pressure applied.
