No NAV with 496

My AP on D100 is not offering NAV option. The D100 is displaying heading and speed information from the Garmin 496 but it is not displaying CDI or cross track error.
Altitude and Heading are working on the AP.
Any ideas?

496 Advanced NMEA setup > Data Rate should be set to Normal, not Fast (which it's likely currently set to)

That was it!
The 496 was serviced by Garmin and came back with the settings changed.
