Evening

I recently purchased a second hand aircraft and wanted to updated my Dynon database D700. Decided to upgrade my jeppesen database for South Africa. Myself and a friend thought we would do it together and both purchased the latest databases. I used my computer to download both of our jeppesen databases via the jeppesen software. Each downloaded with our own username and password. Installed each of the downloads onto separate memory stick. We tried to install the databases this afternoon on the dynons. Of the two updates one worked and other did not. Mine bombed out. I received a "NO valid DB licence" error. What could cause this.

What can I check ?

thanks
Willie

If you used two different accounts, likely you did not download the database directly onto the USB flash drive. When you do so, there is a special file also downloaded to the USB flash drive. If you first download the database to the PC's hard disk, then copy the database to the USB flash drive, the special file is written to the PC's hard disk instead of the USB flash drive.
