I installed version 3.3. today and was looking forward to VRPs showing up on the map. Unfortunately, they didn't. VRPs do show up on my Garmina aera 500 which also derives its navdata from Jeppesen. Any idea why they're missing on SkyView?

If you want VRP's for European VFR Navigation, you have to subscribe to the Pocket FMS Database! Jeppesen doesn't supply the full dataset to Dynon!

It's a thorny and dare I say it an endless problem until Dynon can source a new Basemap for us in Europe and other Continents. In the US, people can have their Aviation and Obstacle databases updated every 28 days free of charge from the FAA - they still don't get Roads, City's or Rivers though as we all do on our Garmin "Portable GPS".

It's a shame that our CAA don't let experimental (home build) aircraft fly IFR for suitably qualified Pilots, like our American Cousins. Let's face it, if you have a Skyview, you have a higher standard of equipment than a Piper or Cessna!!

Just to make it clear- Jeppesen doesn't supply VRP's to Garmin either (at least that's what they tell us). When you buy a "Jeppesen" dataset for your Garmin, there is actually a bunch of non-Garmin stuff in there (like small airports). You can see some of this on the database page on a Garmin where there are multiple copyrights for a database.

Jeppesen says they are adding VRP's to their dataset, and once they have them, we'll have them, but we don't know when that will be. For now, PocketFMS is one option, or if someone wants to make up a CSV with all of them in it, then you could share that and import it as a user waypoints file.

Also, please don't confuse Aviation data, which is airspaces, airports, VRP's, navaids, fixes, etc, with "basemap data" which is roads, railroads, cities and rivers. We're working on basemap as well, but that won't magically get you VRP's with a Jeppesen aviation database.
