The sensor I removed has a probe that is almost 3" long. The one that came with me EMS kit is much shorter. As amplifying info, this engine is one with the single-drive, dual magneto. The oil filter and housing are considerably different from an A1A lycoming. Will the included sensor work? Or, do I need to use the existing sensor? If so, will it work with the EMS, since it has an amphenol-type connector that screws onto the sensor, and then has two wires coming out? Help!

The short answer is that you should use one of the sensors that Dynon sells. Most other sensors aren't compatible unless they happen to be electrically the same as one we sell, and that's not trivial to figure out.

Ok, I understand that, and that is my intention. My concern is that the probe on the included sensor is about 2" shorter than the one I removed. If the difference in length will not affect the sensing, then I won't concern myself about it. If it will, then an alternate solution will have to be found.  :-?

I had hoped to have a response to my last post by now. Will the supplied sensor read correctly in the situation I have outlined above?
