OAT readings

I have a D-180 and it has been working fine for the past 4 years. Lately I have noticed that my outside air temperature readings are erratic. The other day I had readings ranging from a normal outside air temperature of 14 f to -16 f and then back to normal. Just the OAT appears to be affected.  Has anyone else had this happen to them?

maybe you have a connection coming loose or a wire rubbing through the insulation somewhere? Just guesses. I haven't had an issue in just a couple of years with mine.
