Odd Weather Display

On my recent trip to Oshkosh, I ran into a couple of odd weather displays.  I know the pink sections mean no weather data, but I would not have expected them to show up in thin bands like this (sorry the pictures are upside down):

When I zoomed in, the bands were replaced with green or yellow which makes it look like it has data for that section, but obviously not correct data:

So the bands themselves aren't unexpected. Because of the way the date is streamed, momentary interruptions in the data feed (also not unexpected) would yield some missing slivers until they get filled in next time around (as long as 10-15 minutes). Now the odd coloring isn't expected. I'll make sure our development team gets their eyes on this. We may have some additional questions, but to start:

Were you using enroute charts (sectionals, IFR lo/high) at all?
How long were you in flight when you saw this?
Was there a threshold zoom level where you'd see this, but not above? Or once you'd triggered this behavior, did it persist at other zoom levels too?

- I do have sectionals and IFR lo charts installed, but don't believe I used them on this flight.

- This was near the end of a 4.5 hour flight. I had probably been in the air about 4 hours when I saw this.

- If I recall correctly, I could see this at multiple zoom levels, but I did not try this at all zoom levels. My recollection was also that it appeared the same on both of my screens.
