I contract for a company building the ArrowCopter AC20 gyroplane. We have recently switched over from an MGL Voyager system to a SkyView D1000 and D700 (for the rear seat). The installation works nicely, and we have configured most items.
There are, however, still some setup items I would lilke to specify in one of the setup files rather than have the user be able to mess up his system by doing his own setup. Also, the certification authority (Austro Control) requires us to lock certain settings. Hence my questions:
1) First an easy one: is there a way for a custom spash screen to appear during booting?
2) I talked to Kevin (I believe) at the Dynon stand during Sun 'n Fun and he mentioned that there is a pretty sophisticated locking mechanism available which ensures that installations in certified aircraft cannot be changed in a way that would void the certification basis. I'd love to learn more about this.
