oil pressure and fuel pressure reading low

I'm troubleshooting some engine problems, and yesterday hooked up analog gauges on t-fittings to fuel pressure and oil pressure lines.  During the test run I checked analog against the Skyview display.

Oil pressure was showing about 5 to 8 psi low on Skyview, fuel pressure was showing about 10 psi low on Skyview.

The fuel pressure transducer is from Dynon, the oil pressure is legacy from a GRT system I previously had on the plane.

I checked the setup pages and it appears I have things right.  Any ideas?

To make sure of what you're seeing is correct, & to save money & frustration, I'd check wht you are seeing against calibrated gauges ;)

I'm sure this is not your situation, only a generalised comment/observation, but too many appear not to realise that some new gauges or transducers can in fact be incorrect.

I know of a case where the customer thought his oil temps were too high so did all sorts of mods including having 2 coolers, turns out that there was a bug in the software ::)

As mentioned before check the systems against a calibrated instrument then replace transducers etc if required :)

A couple of thoughts:

Is at least one of the EMS module ground wires well-grounded to the same place that the EMS sensors are grounded?

On the fuel pressure side, double check that you've selected the fuel pressure sensor that correctly matches the sensor you have. There is one for carbureted engines and another for fuel injected engines. If you bought your engine sensor kit in the last few weeks, you may have the new Kavlico sensors, which require that you have the latest sensor definitions file installed from the SkyView downloads website, as that has the support for them.
