I am a Rotax IRC and a service center for several LSA companies. I see many aircraft with the D120/D10 and the most common complaint is the fluctuating oil temp. Even after all the grounds are rock solid and all the other temps and pressures are solid the oil temp on a Rotax tends to fluctuate 5F-8F no matter what you do for connections. I have tried all the fixes and I believe this all comes down to the rate at which the D120 and D10 samples the oil temp reading. This issue could be fixed with a software update to make the sample rate slow down and stretch out to 5-10 seconds. This seems to be a common complaint that could have an easy fix.
