Oil temp probe issue

After fighting a long high oil temp issue for months. I finally got the bottom the issue . The oil temp probe was tested in boiling water and did show 212 F.
So I figured the issue was a engine anomaly not the probe. I spent thousands of dollars replacing the oil cooler, baffles, and anything I could do to increase air flow. Nothing seemed to help much. My temps were reading 235F or higher unless I reduced the power to 55 % LOP and then they would finally come down to 215F.After shutting down the engine I noticed the oil temp came down 20 to 25 degrees immediately. Ok, one of those Aha moments. It was obvious the oil temp reading was directly influenced by the increased bus voltage of the alternator and when the engine was shut down I lost about 1.3 volts from 14.2 down to 13 volts. The voltage difference had a direct correlation to a oil temp error issue.

Im curious if anyone else has experienced this issue as well?

I'll do the same shutting dows the engine and read the oil temp values and let you know. Thanks for the tip.
