Hi, we did replace my Rocky Mountain Monitor and a Gem602 the last two days with the EMS-10, what a gem, it's just so easy to use and program. But on the installation side I have a question, the oil temp probe has no washer supplied with, the question is, what is the best thing to have the sensor sealed on the engine housing? If I take a copper washer I've the problem, that due to the deep cut behind the thread the washer does not get centered and so does not look very promising, also on my previouse sensor I had a whole on the sensor in order to secure wire it onto the engine. Nothing forseem on yours, any recommendation?

Any way my D-10 has now a brother and I like it

Hi Werner,

The oil temperature sensor has an NPT type thread pattern, which basically means that it is tapered and should tighten up into the receiving threads. We don't claim to be experts on any particular engine though: I would check with an A&P or consult you engine manufacturer/documentation for best practices in installing that sensor into your motor.
