Hi Dynon support and everybody
I get some hard difficulty to setup the EFIS-D10 Magnetic Calibration.
My EFIS-D10 was installed in an ultra-light without many problems of dashboard interferences. Now it’s installed on a C-182 full equipped and the interferences are much more problematic.
Maybe because of it is an old model I can’t read experience of that on the forum.
I followed the whole of the instructions and carried out 4 times the complete procedure (ground and air). The first was the least bad. Surroundings 10 degrees of variation. The second and third approximately 170 of variation. The fourth also gave me nearly 170 degrees of difference then returned to a variation of 20 degrees.
Living in Argentina it is not possible for me for the moment to buy an upgrade towards the EFIS-D10A and buy an EMS.
Does there exist another solution, perhaps manual, to carry out an acceptable calibration?
Cheers and Happy New Year.

There is no manual calibration of the compass. It sounds like you have a lot of magnetic interference in your panel, and this just can't be calibrated out. As you have seen, it works fine in a clean environment like an ultralight, but a noisy aircraft panel is a lot worse. Things like DG's and turn coordinators are particularly bad.

We do sell the remote compass for the D10, so that is probably your best option.
