I am running SV and 10.0 software, and there is a cumbersome feature in AP operation that in my view could be improved. Say I am descending from 10 to 3000 on autopilot in basic mode (which, by the way, is fine 95% of times); I have my ALT bug set to 3000 and my VS bug set to, say, -300 fpm; for some reason (clouds, traffic, turbulence I want to ride manually, ...) half way down I turn the AP off. After some time I hit the button again to turn it back on. Now my ALT bug is reset to my present altitude and the VS bug will eventually reset to whatever the default VS is. So I have to reprogram the bugs all over again, and chances are that I'm in a somewhat less than ideal situation.
It would be nice to have something like an additional Pause/Resume button that allows to skip having to repeat the programming sequence.
