One AP servo not seen by SV system

All,

Looking for help. I have dual SV system with two-axis Autopilot. Running a configuration of the network, or looking at the status, the system only sees one of the two servos. With wiring as the most likely culprit, I checked that power is getting to the wires that come directly out of the servo. I also disconnected and re-connected the network wires to both, and can only get the one servo to show up when I run a configuration of the system.

Is there anything else I can check prior to sending the servo back to Dynon?

Thanks

You have probably done this, however I would check each wire on the SV-network with a ohm meter to see that you have continuity. For example- on my plane I have one SV-NET going from the roll servo to the fusellage, I would check pin X on one side and pin X on the other and see that nothing is crossed and there is a good circuit. as long as you know that wires that are working (aka I know that there was a Y connection for the NET at my wing and the other servo worked, so if that all is right than verify that you have the right wires from the servo going to the right pin on the connection. I had a couple of these myself when I needed to replace a servo, turns out the wires were crossed at the servo.
If you have verified that all connections are correct and there is power going to the servo, than you have troubleshooted all you can.

If you switched servos and one works in both locations and the other does not, it's the servo, not the wiring I mentioned previously.

Hello Support

       I have the same problem sort off..

The other day I was checking the operations of my C/Bs on my aircraft and pulled the c/b for the autopilot. The c/b worked as advertised but when I pushed it back in, only the pitch servo was recognised by the SV..The Roll servo didn't work. Turned everything OFF and tried again and it still didn't come back ON..

I tried the acquired mode again and still no joy..

It was working fine before so I know it is not a wiring issue.

Any idea what I could do??

Thanks

Bruno;
I have the same issues. I received a Pitch ERR a few times when powering up the servos, once they are powered cycled and powered they remain working. I have checked my wires, all confirmed as secured.
I also had a change in my Pitch responsiveness since upgrading to 6.0 and 6.2. All was working fine before.

Like Bruno, RV-4 and reidvator, I have been powering up the system now and again with the AP circuit breaker/switch sometime off and sometimes on. Could this have somehow contributed to the lack of recognition by the system? Is there a preferred mode the Skyview would ... prefer ... with regard to the servo power? (always ON, always OFF then turn ON, doesn't matter,...?)

Beersrus;
Servos are always powered when the aircraft is powered for me. I dont have anything but the primary display on (battery) before engine start, immediately after the engine is running the VP-200 turns everything else on. Usually the Servos go from ERR (no power) to Normal powered mod, and stay on until my Post flight mode, which powers everything off. My issue recently has been a lack of power being applied to the servo. I need to powercycle the Pitch servo and that appears to resolve the issue. (note: both servos go to the same power source)
But I do see the Servo on the configuration, it is simply a power issue, the couple of times it happened.

The servos want to come on with whatever switch turns on SkyView power. If you turn them on after and they aren't seen, cycling that breaker once or twice might be needed to allow SkyView to see them.

Hello everyone

     I powered up Skyview today and initially the Roll servo was still missing but I tried the Acquire Mode again and it came back ''ON'' and appears to be working fine for now.

I will fly the aircraft tomorrow and will check the operation of the autopilot to see if everything is fully back to normal.

First time this ever happenned..

Best of luck with your systems..
